Erik Urquidi joined the Pelican Energy Partners team in Spring of 2022 as an Analyst. His responsibilities include analysis and evaluation of investment opportunities, financial modeling, due diligence, and portfolio company monitoring.
Prior to joining Pelican, Erik worked as an Analyst for Fifth Third Bank where he focused on reserve base lending and debt capital markets in the energy sector. He has a M.Sc. in Finance from the University of Houston, a M.Sc. in Geophysics from University of Texas - El Paso, and a B.Sc. in Geophysics & Geology from Texas A&M University. Erik concurrently served as an Instructional Assistant while earning both M.Sc. degrees, assisting various professors in teaching a wide range of courses including Applied Geophysics and Refining & Petrochemical Economics.
Erik enjoys spending his free time with his family, mountain biking, and traveling to national parks.
