Mr. Winkler has been in the oilfield services industry for over 30 years. Most recently, Mr. Winkler served as chairman and CEO of Complete Production Services (CPX), a publicly traded oilfield services company providing completion and production services to major U.S. oil & gas basins, which was acquired by Superior Energy Services (SPN) in February 2012. Prior to joining Complete, Mr. Winkler served as president, COO and CFO of Varco International, a leading oilfield equipment manufacturer based in Houston, TX, which merged with National Oilwell to form National Oilwell Varco (NOV). Prior to Varco, Mr. Winkler held several executive management positions with Tuboscope, which merged with Varco (VRC) and Baker Hughes, and previously served as CFO and Controller of Tiger Oil Company, a privately held US independent exploration company. He started his career as a CPA at Arthur Young & Company in 1974.
Mr. Winkler also serves on the board of directors of Commercial Metals Company (CMC), Hi-Crush Limited Partners (HCLP), Eclipse Resources (ECR) and Tetra Technologies (TTI).
Mr. Winkler attended Louisiana State University and received his bachelor's degree in Accounting in 1973.
