Julia Frenkel joined Pelican Energy Partners in 2015. She is responsible for the firm's accounting, financial reporting, and tax planning. Additionally, she assists Pelican's portfolio companies as needed in accounting and tax matters.
Prior to joining Pelican, Julia was a part of the external reporting group at LyondellBasell, where she prepared quarterly and annual financial statements and footnote disclosures in accordance with U.S. GAAP and IFRS. Prior to LyondellBasell, Julia worked at a consulting firm in the Houston area, where she provided outsourced controller services, pre-audit support and financial reporting services to public and non-public companies in a variety of industries. Previously, she was an Assurance Manager at Ernst & Young LLP, where she handled audit engagements in accordance with U.S. GAAP for large SEC registrants and Fortune 500 companies in the energy and utilities sectors, as well as provided other attest services including SOX 404 compliance testing.
Julia graduated summa cum laude from the University of Houston with a BBA (double major) in Accounting and International Business. She is a licensed CPA in the State of Texas since 2007 and is a member of the Texas Society of CPAs and Houston CPA Society.
