Muhammad Imam joined Pelican Energy Partners in 2025 as a Tax Accountant and is responsible for assisting the tax department with tax compliance, planning, and supporting the firm’s portfolio companies with various tax matters. He helps ensure accurate reporting and strategic alignment with both federal and state tax requirements.

Prior to joining Pelican, Muhammad worked as a Tax Associate at ABIP PC, where he focused on complex corporate and partnership tax returns and supported the implementation of tax-efficient structures. Before that, he worked for Crowe LLP, where he progressed from Tax Intern to Tax Associate serving high-net-worth individuals and closely held corporations, ensuring compliance with evolving tax laws.

Muhammad holds a Master’s in Accounting and Bachelor of Business Administration in Accounting from the University of Houston. He is also working toward CPA Licensure.

Muhammad enjoys spending time with family, traveling, and watching crime documentaries specifically related to accounting fraud.
